For the past few years, I’ve been fortunate to plan events along the majestic Oregon Coast, a collection of sites and experiences I'll carry through the next chapters. In the new year my family will be moving home to Cleveland Ohio for more time with loved ones and Ill be closing out services in Oregon.
Starting an event business after a cross-country move was one of the bolder moves of my lifetime but it was post 2020 and the unemployment and isolation of it all lit a fire (pours glass looking back, ha!)
I am grateful for the people who trusted me with plans for some of life’s most special moments, and for the event friends I collaborated with along the way. Thank you for taking a chance on someone newer to town.
From the scenic hills of Astoria, over the Megler Bridge to Seaview, to where the road ends in Oysterville, winding through the trees in Ecola State Park looking out to Haystack Rock and driving along the misty Kilchis River, a sample of magical places where this role has led…I pinched myself often at the views, always appreciating the chance to plan in such a beautiful destination.
Seeing my event clients and wedding couples enjoy the moments after all the planning has kept me going. Creating memorable events with thoughtful details is my passion and I am just getting started.
The next few months will be a time to regroup. I hope to be celebrating with you sooner than later in Northeast Ohio.
After wrapping a project, a former client once sent me the note, “Fair winds and following seas.” I can’t think of a better meditation as I close out my time in Astoria, OR ⚓♥️
cheers & love,
Jen
