I remember learning to make tussie mussies eight or so years ago when I worked for Athens legend and Holland native, Desiree Goetz, at her, dare I say ICONIC shop, Always Always Flowers. Did you know that she brought the tussie mussie trend to Athens? Before her, it was all wrist corsages! Or so the story goes 💁‍♀️. Since that time, designing these small bouquets has been one of my favorite things to do. I could say so much more about my time at Always Always, but this is meant to be a HOCO post! ➡️

It’s TUSSIE MUSSIE time again! We love getting to see your sweet high schoolers holding/wearing TPX flowers. Because ordering homecoming flowers is new to some, we wanted to clarify what you can expect when you order florals from us…

🌸 a tussie mussie that is true to its name. In other words, a bouquet that is little bit smaller than a bridesmaid’s bouquet.

🌸 we don’t use regular roses for boutonnières. We make ours with smaller, more size-appropriate flowers, meaning there’s no need to worry about snapping or flopping due to heaviness.

🌸 if you order a matching set (tussie + bout), we’ll make sure that they coordinate perfectly. If you’re someone who cares about little details, ordering a matching set is the way to go!

🌸 your flowers will be thoughtfully composed using professional techniques. We’ll never take shortcuts. It may take a little longer to make each piece, but it’s worth it.

🌸 no consultations. A little brainstorming when you order is fine, but all we really need is the dress color; you can leave the rest to us!

🌸 if you call us, please give us your trust! We’ll employ our years of work with color theory and hundreds of flower varieties to create a custom piece of art.

🌸 if you want something out of the box - an intricate wrist corsage, floral jewelry, neon flowers, hair pieces, etc etc etc - we’re your people. Creating new and unexpected floral pieces is our favorite thing!
