Classic City Confections - Making things a little bit sweeter in the Classic City since 2006. My passion in life is cake. It never gets old for me!

I'm constantly thinking about what I can work with to make something fun and new with cake that I haven't tried before. I love to stay ahead on all of the trends happening in the cake design world. My favorite cake projects are weddings, I love to be involved in the whole process of the joining of two lives, and the cakes always tend to be more beautiful, complex, and fulfilling to accomplish. I w

ork in all media relating to cake, but specialize in fondant, modeling chocolate, and sugar flower production. I have been featured in several publications, including Martha Stewart Weddings, Celebration Society Weddings, Southern Weddings Magazine, and Ruffled blog, as well as many other online publications.

We really enjoyed working with Mike and Callie on the details of their wedding cake so it was just right for them and just right for the space and vibe of the incredibly beautiful and gothic The Georgian Athens, Georgia downtown.
Alternating layers of vanilla/lemon and strawberry/strawberry creme cake tiers, a smooth delectable buttercream icing, and the most amazing fall flowers courtesy of gardenia floral design. really made this beauty pop in this space and hold it's own amongst all of the other beautiful details.

I made a giant cake yesterday in the beautiful traditional Lambeth style. I have a lot of these kinds of cakes on the books for this year and someone said it's because they're so popular on tiktok. What do you think, do you like that this style is making a comeback?
