Tips that helped me grow my Event Design Business 1. Whatever you're good at, use that as your starting point, whether it be crafting, balloons, baking etc.Find a spot you can use in your home and create a mini mock up. This is how you start to build your portfolio.2. Do the opposite of what everyone else is doing, find your niche and build your brand from there3. Start introducing yourself to vendors, get familiar with their services and what they offer, this way when inquiries start coming in, you have an idea of what it will cost to execute the event and if it's within the clients budget4. Always be honest and realistic when speaking to a client, you don't want to oversell, typically we get so excited to receive a booking that we make promises and end up spending our own money to do so. BIG MISTAKE 5. Marketing is not only on social media, it's wherever you are, a restaurant, grocery store, beauty salon, nail salon etc. Promote your business at all times
