⚡️Update! Founders Note💕💫✨I was inspired by business transparency post to share a bit more of what’s up with .💖

It’s been about seven months since we shuttered doors in Joyland and PCM. When our Joyland building was SOLD earlier this year, my first instinct was to immediately sign a new lease in Decatur…and did…then undid. 🤣

The truth was I needed a freaking break after working nonstop on the many iterations of this business for 13 years. And now, I feel sooooo much better, clearer, and more focused on the story behind the STORY, my Caribbean roots, which have inspired everything.🌺🇻🇮

Plants and flowers have and will ALWAYS be part of this story, but I don’t plan to return to brick and mortar in the SAME way. Like ever. 😩😂…

We’re FINALLY growing our food and wellness concept alongside like-minded spaces! To everyone who’s been with us, from our very first fundraiser for the GREENHOUSE CAFE, to Kiki the Camper, to our brick and mortar, thank you.

It’s official: Professor Olasee Davis’s decades-long effort to preserve Maroon Country on St. Croix as part of the U.S. Virgin Islands’ Territorial Park system is now a reality following the purchase of some 2,386 acres of undeveloped forested and coastal land that was under threat of development. The area is so named for the thousands of enslaved laborers from Africa who sought self-liberation by fleeing plantation life and seeking refuge in the remote, inaccessible areas that the Maroon Sanctuary Territorial Park will now protect. Government House confirmed Monday that an official announcement will come later this week.

We’ve spent the last few months deep in the plants — grounding, growing, and remembering our why. From to the plant shop to the yet fulfilled greenhouse café dream, it’s always been about food access, joy, and gathering. 🌿

From aloe to snake plants, the plants we love are more than decorative. They are nourishment. Edible beauty, passed down. From soursop to sea moss, we’ve always known beauty and care starts in the belly. ✨
