We hope you have had a happy holiday! It is with sad news that we announce that the Riegeldale Tavern (the location of our previous ball) is up for sale.
Until we know what will become of it, it will be difficult to plan another event there.
We have looked at other venues, but none are as pretty as this historic building.

I am reaching out to you all to see if there is interest for a 2024 Regency Ball, what your thoughts would be for a different location (such as the Chattanooga Theatre Center pictured below), or if you have any suggestions.

Lord Patrick (and Lord Eady), who were my primary muscle throughout the event.
And lastly, the lovely lady Randi Lowery who showed up early for tea and offered to help decorate tables and even set out signs.

Good morrow! I hope you have all made it home safely (or will soon if you came for the weekend).
May I just say how grateful I am to everyone who helped make this event special, from the volunteers to the guests.
Thank you for joining us in whist, croquet, historical dress lesson,…ahem…English Country Dance Lesson, dinner, and dancing!

Meet your co-organizer, Lady Oriana.

Lady Oriana (pictured Left) will be teaching whist from 4 o’clock to 5 o’clock. She traveled far to help make today’s event special. An artist by trade, you may see some of her handy work around the tavern.

Please don’t blame the terribly painted parking signs on her. Those are the complete products of the less artistic Lord Eady and Lady Alexandra (also pictured).

Meet your hosts:

Lady Alexandra and Lord Eady are happy to welcome you to the tavern for a country ball.

We have been attending Regency events along the Eastern U.S. for 2 years and decided it was time to have one closer to home.

Lord Eady will be demonstrating croquet in the front lawns (weather permitting) at 4 o’clock.

Lady Alexandra will be assisting with the English Country Dance Lesson at 1 o’clock.

We are less than 2 weeks away from our regency ball! If you are coming for the weekend, consider these nearby attractions:

Cloundland Canyon: walk up for beautiful fall views of the canyon or hike down the stairs on a waterfall trail for some pretty waterfalls. If you live in Georgia, visit your local library for a 1 week Georgia park pass (check out for free for 1 week, can renew once) or pay a small car fee on entrance.

Barnsley Resort & Gardens: must have dining reservations or overnight accommodations to enter. Recommend rice house as this is next to the picturesque ruins.

Paradise Gardens: Nearby art haven. Worth a visit. I believe there is a small entrance fee.
