Happy July 4th!
Yeah, I’m well aware of the irony of Black man saying that. But I prefer to have a homeowners mentality rather than a renters mindset when it comes to the only country I know; my country. I have BLACK Privilege. My ancestors built and shaped this country.
So yeah, I fly ‘Old Glory’ outside of RAILROAD. But not the 50 stars, the 33 star flag. The flag my ancestors carried while fighting for their OWN freedom during the Civil War victoriously against the confederacy and slavery.
So yeah, I’m a Black patriot, I own this bitch.
RAILROAD at Underground (get it?) is a different type of space. It’s not just another night club or lounge it’s an Abolitionist Social Club. Where like minded individuals get together for good music and conversation.
