“When I first started watching Muhammad Ali fight, he made the job look so easy and I said, ‘damn, I can do that,’ I was like about 9-years-old.. I think I weighed about 62-63 pounds.

I said, ‘even a little guy can do that the way Ali did, the way he danced, the way he flicked that left hand out off his toes,’ so, let me do that, let me start up.’

“So I went down the gym, the very first day in the gym, I thought this is home for me.

The first day I learned how to hold my guard and about a week later he put me in the ring.. I said, ‘this is kinda soon..’ - And the guy just went to work! - I was like getting down on my knees! Trying to stop him from hitting but I was determined, I said ‘when I come back I’m going to get him,’ when I went back.. yo, he was all mine, took him to school.”

'My real advice would be this: chop wood, lift hay bales; go back to old-school, natural methods of training. My trainer, Archie Moore, he told me to go away and chop trees for two weeks before a fight – and I did and it made all the difference in the world; all the difference to my life. I’d say doing things like that increases your punching power by at least 25 percent – forget lifting weights, that just makes you muscle-bound and takes away your speed. Weights are no good for you, that’s what I say. Go back to nature when you train, that’s what I did.'

Yesterday it was reported Oleksandr Usyk was in talks with Daniel Dubois for an undisputed title clash.

Today the WBO have now ordered Oleksandr Usyk to face Joseph Parker. The parties have 30 days to reach a deal before the bout goes to a purse bid.

Whilst Parker does deserve his shot, which fight would you rather see:
