The story of Georgia State Trooper Patrol First Class, Chase Redner is absolutely heartbreaking. His fiancé Leah told us on Saturday morning that they were looking at booking Cavender Creek Vineyards as they were planning for their wedding. This means I would have been their wedding planner had he not tragically passed in the line of duty back in February. It would’ve been an absolute honor to work with them and I am so honored I got to be a part of his memorial run on Saturday. It’s taken me a few days for me to really wrap my brain around such a tragic loss. Leah, his mother, Linda and their family will always be in my prayers. 💔

17 Years Ago!

April 20th will always be special day for us. It was not our real wedding anniversary because we were actually married on December 1, 2007 in our home. April 20, 2008 was the day that we celebrated with our closest friends and family in Monroe, Georgia. It was the most perfect day and the first time we did our iconic dip photo!

𝐖𝐞𝐝𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐓𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐬 • Have your cake and eat it too! 🍰 I miss the days of giant wedding cakes, don’t you?! Sadly, this is no longer the trend but maybe one day it will come back. Wedding trends tend to swing one way then back over the years. Most of my couples now are opting for a small cake layer to cut during the wedding and providing other fun desserts for their guests like cupcakes or an assortment of other pies & cakes. Also, you know what else has almost completely gone away? Groom’s cakes! Couples are choosing not do this tradition for many reasons… Another cake can feel redundant and instead think about creating a wow factor by providing a late night comfort food snack for their guest or a fun coffee station. What fun dessert element are you adding to your upcoming wedding?

❤️🎄🚒❄️ With all of my client installs done it’s time to add more decor to our house! I decided to add another tree in our bedroom. I ended up with an extra flocked tree leftover so now it’s our Family Ornament Tree. Ya know, a place to put all of the fun and/or handmade ornaments that aren’t allowed on the living room tree. Asa loved decorating it! He did the whole tree and loved his new fire truck ornament. One of my favorite childhood Christmas memories was all of the ornaments on our family tree and I wanted to give the boys a tree to put their special ornaments on.
