Jessie & Tom's wedding was EVERYTHING 🍃 When they invited me to Bend, Oregon for an intimate ceremony, Jessie & Tom immediately made me feel so loved and cared for! This whole day had the most amazing vibe, somehow relaxed and incredibly personal at the same time. @rainshadoworganics was a stunning backdrop to @jewel_ofthe_north & @tmoneymccoy's entire vibe. It felt warm, homey, but took my breath away! Life is so incredible, I feel lucky to be a part of these kinds of moments. Painting the full vision of your day ✨ Chloe & Brad loved the original outdoor lawn for their venue, so when the venue pulled a switcheroo and replaced the lawn with brick, I came to the rescue lol! Maya & Spencer had a strange request 🦈 I love this painting for so many reasons! Some of y'all already know this but I offer each couple the option to add "Easter eggs" to their paintings, aka special mementos that are just between the two of you. Inside jokes, honoring loved ones, a nod to your favorite song, first date, special flower, pets, you name it! Well Spencer & Maya wanted knockout roses to be featured as an Easter egg and I said "no problem!" And then Maya said "If Maggie feels creatively challenged and genuinely thinks it’ll look good and not be a goofy distraction, then she has our blessing to try and stick a shark in the painting too! Lol!" CHALLENGE ACCEPTED. It was so much fun hiding a shark in this painting 🤣 Most importantly of all, @maya_meadow & @common_spence12 have the most INTENSELY JOYFUL energy, talk about lighting up a room!! What a genuine reaction 🥹 Maria surprised Patrick with a painting that included two of his favorite people in the whole world, who could only be at their beautiful Costa Rican wedding in spirit. His late grandparents watched over them in this special wedding portrait, painted live and on-site at @dreamslasmareas Maria, you are such a beautiful soul!!! Corina & Liam 💙 This painting has a crazy story behind it, honestly. Corina & Liam got married right before covid, so it was a two year journey getting to Hawaii to paint them in 2022. I had been looking forward to it so much!!! By September of 2022, I was so burned out and loopy from the two years of grinding away with the untenable schedule I had and y'all- I almost missed this ceremony. NOT A JOKE. I had an earlier wedding address in my books (it got changed somewhere in the planning process), and I was across the big island in the wrong spot a couple of hours early (I thought). I was like.... "where is everybody??" I genuinely don't know how I messed up so bad, I am a PERFECTIONIST and I was mortified, so as soon as I realized my mistake I hired the sketchiest Uber driver in the world to SPEED across to the North Shore. The ceremony was in a park- imagine me RUNNING through the jungle y'all, because I was in a full blown sprint freaking out that I would miss the painting moment, which is my actual worst nightmare!!! I arrived in the nick of time! Unfortunately, I was not early enough to introduce myself to Corina & Liam's families, so at first they thought I was a tourist weirdo who was filming their loved ones. MY MORTIFICATION- I cannot describe 😳. I got what I needed, but I must admit I felt so ashamed and shy. I am NEVER late- they must have thought I was the most awkward woman in the world. At the reception, I vowed to make the most KICKASS PORTRAIT EVER and in record time. I think this painting took less than 3 hours???!? I was at the top of my game- the adrenaline of the day made me feel insanely high, and I had a need to prove myself to this wonderful family. I wanted the painting to say "I promise you are insanely important to me, your love is important. This day is important!" Anyway, I learned a lot of lessons. This wedding was the wake-up call that I was burned out and I HAD to slow down, I was a nervous wreck and stuff was getting m
