Protect your peace. My #1 tip for having the best day of your life has nothing to do with hiring an A-list band or coordinating killer logistics. You must be intentional when deciding who you allow into your space on your wedding day. ⁠

Do you have a cousin that gets under your skin? They should not be in your wedding party. Do you have a family friend who triggers you by asking too many questions? They should not be allowed to "swing by" your hotel room while you are in the middle of hair and makeup. If you aren't good at managing conflict, talk to your wedding planner about how to establish and communicate boundaries and, if needed, let them be the bad guy. We're pretty good at it. ⁠

Transitioning a space from ceremony to celebration requires precision and hustle from vendor teams as they work in the pressure cooker known as the flip. Large items must be struck, new items are shifted into place, tables set, chairs counted, candles lit, room lighting adjusted, boxes moved, spilled water mopped, and the floor swept, all while keeping your mom's neighbor from dropping her purse and cardigan on a chair before room shots. ⁠
