I'm Qiana Solomon, wedding and event consultant, wife, mom to two handsome boys, and a mom boss living my best life! I have an advanced degree in Criminal Justice and after 10 plus years working the traditional nine-five I desired more time with my family. I knew that I needed more flexibility but I was not sure what I wanted to do next.
In August of 2017, I planned my own destination wedding in the Dominican Republic. I would come home from work and immediately hop on the computer. There were countless hours of research, strategic planning, coordinating, administrative duties and decision making. It was all very challenging but so worth it in the end. Our families and friends had an amazing experience, and it was the best day ever!
When I was about six months away from the big day I took one of those fun quizzes titled, What type of bride are you? The answer was- You should become a professional wedding planner. It read, Wow, you are doing great. You are happy and confident, and you are totally in your element planning this whole wedding thing. Wedding planning is a skill, and you should share the knowledge. That quiz was spot on! In 2018, I left corporate America and launched my own business as a Virtual Assistant for wedding professionals. I knew that I loved helping people and I loved weddings so why not put the two together. I have worked with the most amazing clients who confirmed my desire and purpose in becoming the best wedding and event professional, now its here: Exclusive Events by Qiana!
