Attitude
They say it determines your altitude, I agree. Looking back, my attitude was bad for years and little did I know my life was going downhill slowly but surely. Even so, I finally came to a point where I was determined to adjust my attitude. I made a choice to change my mind, and it’s taken tremendous effort.
I still have my moments, but now I have momentum and awareness on my side. Practicing healthier habits and mindsets to support a positive attitude is key. Rolling with life’s punches, letting go, surrendering, focusing on gratitude, being vulnerable, loving yourself and acceptance are great tools to get you elevated and moving in the right direction.
Are you headed up, or are you going down? Let’s choose to shoot for the moon and enjoy the ride along the way.
What’s your attitude? Grateful or hateful? Find a reason to find the good, focus on that, and move forward. Onward and upward, let’s go!

Presence
What up family! Hope everyone is fabulous today. One question, are you present?
Ram Das say’s “be here now”.
I used to be completely unaware and lost in my head. Then I discovered presence. The skill to recognize when I’m lost in thought. I’m in my head a lot, so practice makes perfect. For me, I do threes things to work on my presence.
1) Slow down - get intentional about taking a break
2) Focus on your breathing, draw your attention inward, pay attention to the feelings and sensations.
3) Direct your thoughts towards gratitude - Remind yourself to be thankful for the moment. Look around and find a reason to be happy.
My wife once said “your totally unaware of your surroundings Brett”. She was right. Thank God she pointed that out and I started paying better attention to the present moment.
