(7)

The Corner District first opened its doors to host weddings in a downtown Ball Ground building that was formerly known as A.W. After hosting weddings and special events for five
years in this space, an opportunity presented itself to move into our forever home down the street. Hi Byers built it originally as an auto garage with a filing station in the mid 1940s. Diversified Manufacturing Company

made metal parts out of the building in the 1970s. Ball Ground resident Oscar Robertson obtained the building in the 1980s. And now, we are happily celebrating couples' most special day in a beautifully renovated vintage industrial space! Over 5000 sq ft of beautiful natural light open space making it the perfect backdrop for any event.

Our Story

The Corner District first opened its doors to host weddings in a downtown Ball Ground building that was formerly known as A.W. Roberts and Sons General Store. After hosting weddings and special events for four years in this space, an opportunity presented itself to move into our forever home down the street.

Our original space had a fun history and our new home is no different! Hi Byers built it originally as an auto garage with a filing station in the mid 1940s. Diversified Manufacturing Company made metal parts out of the building in the 1970s. Ball Ground resident Oscar Robertson obtained the building in the 1980s. And now, we are happily celebrating couples' most special day in a beautifully renovated vintage industrial space!

This is a picture from one of our earlier weddings, taken while our couple strolled the town of Ball Ground for their wedding portraits. It's a nod to how far we've come and the number of couples and families we've helped celebrating life's most precious occasions and milestones. We didn't know it then, but it foreshadowed where we would be today. They're standing in front of our new building, which has since been painted a beautiful white with a new garage door, windows, lighting and more.
