Southern Glam Weddings & Events is a boutique wedding event planning company that toasts weddings, celebrates soirees, designs details, and plans Caribbean honeymoons. Based in Tampa, Florida, Southern Glam plans a limited number of once-in-a-lifetime weddings and events each year. We offer every step of wedding planning one could dream of including Full Planning and Design, Partial Planning, and Month of Coordination, also known as Day of Coordination.
Meagan Phillips, a certified wedding planner and designer, is the founder of the Southern Glam Meagan brand which owns Southern Glam Weddings & Events. Meagan first worked on game day scripts and promotions for the University of South Florida’s football and basketball teams. She found keeping a collegiate team on a tight schedule was a challenge she really liked. Then, when she was in the middle of planning her own out-of-state wedding, she knew she found a niche and future career for herself.
She instantly loved using her planning skills for something with a lot more prettiness! From mason jars to martini glasses, Meagan loves the details that go into planning a wedding or event. This Georgia-born lady holds on to her Southern roots by way of her hospitality and manners, but she also loves luxury, glamour and just about anything that sparkles in the light. Meagan earned a Bachelor degree in Marketing from the University of South Florida and holds a Meeting & Event Planning certificate from USF as well. She has been trained by the Association of Bridal Consultants and is “distinguished” graduate of ABC’s Professional Development Program. She’s also a Sandals Certified Specialist who loves the Caribbean sunshine.
When happily-ever-afters aren’t being planned, Meagan can be found with her love-of-her-life husband, Sean, and their two mischievous rescue kitties, Chipper Jones and Oliver. She’s slightly obsessed with cupcakes, champagne, and the color pink!
