💔🕊The best answer I've found when you're downcast, weary or brokenhearted...

Ask yourself and God this question:

🌸How can I serve someone else today?

🩵In Romans He tells us to overcome evil with good.
💛In Corinthians we are reminded His power is made perfect in our weakness.
🤍In Philippians we are told to value others above ourself. To take on the mindset of Christ, which is the very nature of a servant.

🌷There's many more references on humility and servitude and as for mental health; when we are thinking of others, we are thinking less of our own issues. We are getting ourselves out of a spiral of negativity. It's natural that we find joy in giving and serving. We are designed for this. 🥰✨️ Cool right? 😍

II Corinthians 10:3-6
🤍For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.

🌟When I go about my day in my body and feel despair or anxiety, I remember that only God's mighty presence can take away the lies that wear me down and cause warfare. He will bring to my attention the thoughts that are not of Him. By walking in His Spirit I can take those thoughts ✨️captive✨️, and instead 💛seek the truth💛 that my thoughts can obey and live by. Then repent and remove the disobedient thoughts.

🌟What a beautiful gift: the fruits of the Spirit we have in this. To have 🍉self-control of our own thoughts. 🍏Faithfulness in seeking Him out. 🫐Peace that surpasses understanding. Choosing 🥭joy in the midst of hardship. This is a lifelong journey so we have the fruit of 🍓steadfastness in this.

🙏Thank you Lord that You meet us in the hard moment with compassion and comfort AND You always have an answer; the truth that sets us free. Thank You so much that Your power rests in those that believe. Thank You for Who You are. Mighty and Good and Present. 🕊

🌷What thoughts do you have today that God is bringing to your attention that is not of Him? Would you pray through it? Ask Him to soften your heart and to reveal what truth can punish that lie. So that you can cast your eyes on Him and His word and be set free from the stronghold. ☁️

🤍Deuteronomy 6:5-9
You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength. And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

🌿As I read this verse I intentionally remind myself for this current day:

🪻I love the Lord with all my heart, soul and strength! I put all my worries aside when I meditate on His words. I soften the soil of my heart so that I am receptive and ready to hear and see Him now and throughout my day! I prepare my reactions to the inevitable big feelings so that I may model and speak life and truth to my children in the hard moments all the day long. I courageously and faithfully share His word all over my home and publicly to others.

This is the day the Lord has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it.

💛Today I will live in the present moment as I compassionately embrace my kids big feelings and joyfully accommodate their needs! When I start to feel impatient, I will pause, seek out God's goodness and rejoice in this day that He's given me to steward well!
