As we start our 12th year in business, I feel that I have to get something of my chest. I been quiet on Facebook because of these thoughts. It’s hard to see so many small businesses close. Our business has been blessed and has been chugging along very strong. People say, “oh you must be rich owning your own business”. I am not. I am like everyone else. I cut myself a check and drive to work in my 2016 Jeep with over 120k in mileage. Times are tough for everyone. But since we were able to reopen fully in July of 2021 after COVID restrictions, something has changed. People don’t hold the door, have patience with the little things or even smile. In our business, we all try to give everyone the best customer service we can. Much of our staff are under 20 and are learning the hard way to navigate this new human dynamic. But we all have a breaking point, we can only handle being berated or insulted so many times before giving a reaction. There are days that we are understaffed (but who isn’t), games don’t want to work right or there is a bully in the playgym. We want to ask everyone to take a step back and ask yourself, before speaking, “is this how I would want to be treated?” We are people too. We have the same day to day issues you do. We just happen to work in a place where most people expect perfection. We are not perfect, but sure isn’t from a lack of trying. If you have any issues please bring it to our attention so we can handle in the moment and not as keyboard warriors. So when we are kindly asking you not to use 4 booths for your small walk-in party or not to place your open beverage on an arcade game. (Please understand most of these game cost over $10k and cost an arm to fix), we aren’t doing it out of malice. We just want everyone to have a booth if needed or play that new cool game.

As a reminder, Family Time will be closed Wednesday and Thursday this week to make some behind the scenes improvements. The biggest improvement will be upgrading the stability of the game system network.

Family Time is hiring for part time positions. This is a fast paced job that is like nothing you've done before. Candidates should be able to multi task and enjoy working with people and children. Weekends are a must!! We do hire 14 and 15 with worker permits, but currently are looking for 16+. If you have specific questions about the position, please DM us.
