We got INVOLVEd earlier this week with the student involvement event on campus. Splitting locations up inside over at Broun-Koppel and MSC. Have an event this semester it’s time to get it in the books. I’m always great at working our magic on multiple events on same days but it comes with proper scheduling. Lots of new faces also coming in at the warehouse but we still have our great core of great Auburn girls holding down the fort.

Throwing back to this beauty on a much warmer day cause baby it’s cold outside. The next few days are in limbo with events due to the weather. Stay inside the next few days if at all possible on Friday stay off the roads if iced. So for now let’s enjoy a few way back parties when it was warm and the flowers were blooming. Spring is coming sounds soooo much better.

People often wonder what we do when we not inflating balloons or riding around town. Some think we’re just goofing off but really we are cleaning up, re-ordering balloons, playing with the laser and coloring. Yes COLORING…. Did you know we also have a successful online business selling licensed sorority merchandise (19 no less!), AU items and a few other items. So when I’m not learning a new balloon technique, acquiring rental items rest assured I’m up to something creative. This is a small section of items we produce here in the warehouse.

My heart is heavy with the tragedy in NOLA last night. I’ve wandered those streets many, many times. I’ve checked in on friends that were there for the Sugar bowl and all are safe and accounted for. It’s time for us to all be a little more kinder and a lot more alert in large gatherings. It’s the world we are in living in now but with hope and love we can start to make a difference. Let this be our wake up call to this year make the difference in each other lives. 💜💚💛

2️⃣5️⃣ years ago we had the best rolling party ever at Toomer’s Corner. These are the plans for what was the most epic street party ever! For our youngsters in the group that was the Y2K party! Everyone thought the internet was going to crash and no one’s phone had cameras ! what we had was FUN! The streets were packed from sky to Hamiltons on magnolia and from Samford hall to region bank. So so many memories that were just amazing. Every bank parking lot had a stage with a band. The corner in these pictures were the main event. The tiger was a float designed by the AU students with a long tail that held up a box that as the countdown happened and the clock stuck one, the box OPENED to reveal the ball our part was structurally amazing! We cross crossed large bags filled with 2000 air filled balloons in orange and blue. Also packed in the bag was another 500 or so helium filled balloons. So as the balloons reigned down on the packed crowd. The white helium balloons were released as the hope to new beginnings in the new year. To my knowledge this is the only 4 corner balloon drop to have both air and helium balloons still on the books. 🎈 we walked the balloon drop bags down the street from our old location now 17-16 location. sadly I lost what pictures we had of this event on a hard drive years later but this paper copy of designs has been rolled up in a safe place. Always thankful and grateful for all that I have done and all that I will do in the future. The computers didn’t crash, rolling stone wasn’t here, no IG or Facebook but we had each other! Anyone else remember this event ?

Merry Christmas ! Wishing everyone a day filled with family, fun and food. In our house we actually do Christmas Eve diner, presents the whole enchilada so today we kinda mull over our “toys” learn new electronic gadgets and eat leftovers. See y’all in the new year. Strolling back thru the pictures and I love a good themed balloon wall. Check out ole Skelly sitting pretty in the chair waiting on the guests to arrive. It’s OPEN ! We’ve all driven down 85 and wondered when the gas station at exit 38 would be open. Now it is. It’s a Pilot truck stop. Earlier this month we cruised in to help celebrate its grand opening. A good classic spiral arch sure makes a grand opening a little grander!
