Never a dull moment around here! We had the pleasure of hosting the Campbell Society for a lively and authentic Scottish event—yes, there was a sword… and yes, there was haggis. 🗡️🍽️

We had the pleasure of hosting Five County Bank in both event spaces this past week—and when they requested a fashion show, we turned our venue into a full runway experience! What an incredible group of people. They were beyond happy with the space, the service, and the energy we brought to their event. We loved having them with us!

Can we talk about those floral centerpieces? Absolutely breathtaking. One of my favorite things about our banquet room is how a simple, elegant tablescape can completely transform the space. The greens and blues against our gray walls, paired with that chandelier — chef’s kiss! ✨

Kevin Burgess and Teena Savage catered this wedding, and they truly did not disappoint! The kitchen smelled amazing, and they even had gluten-free cornbread so I could enjoy a bite. All around great job to the caterers and bartending staff!!

Yesterday was a meaningful and very full day at the Elks. We were truly honored to host a Celebration of Life for a beloved young member of our community, whose loss has deeply touched so many.

It was incredibly moving to see the outpouring of love and support from friends, family, and neighbors who came not to mourn, but to celebrate a life that brought joy to so many. Although we had to shift the gathering to our Members Lounge due to a previously scheduled bingo event in the banquet room—and despite the summer heat—everyone remained in great spirits. Guests shared kind words about the venue, and we’re grateful for the overwhelmingly positive feedback.

The bar stayed busy🍻, live music🎶 filled the room, and the atmosphere was one of love, remembrance, and connection. ❤️🤝

Thank you to the family for allowing us to be part of such a special tribute. We’re always here to support our community in times of need.

What a day at the venue!
This morning we had the pleasure of hosting Dead River Company—and let us tell you, our banquet room really rose to the occasion! With 250 guests, we still had room for two seperated full buffet tables on each side of the room, a giant projector, and plenty of open space up front. Who says you can’t have it all?

Shoutout to C & C Knead Thyme Catering for absolutely crushing the catering (as always)—my pictures don’t do their deliciousness any justice, but just trust me, it was 🔥.

Now it’s time for a quick reset before we flip the room for bingo tomorrow—and we’re also honored to be hosting a local family’s celebration of life in our Member’s Lounge. Fingers crossed for some nice weather so they can enjoy the lawn and tent too surrounded by the company of their wonderful friends and family.

We kicked off July with our first wedding of the month this weekend—and what a beautiful celebration it was, perfectly framed by our blooming flower garden! After a short breather, we’re gearing up for a busy week with seven special events. We’re honored to welcome Dead River Company, host four celebrations of life for local families, a class reunion, and another wedding! We sure are busy! 😅💐👰

Where do I even begin?! What started out as weeds on weeds on weeds has now blossomed into a stunning flower garden for our wedding ceremonies — and I am completely in awe! 🌸

This transformation was far from easy, but I’m endlessly grateful to everyone who helped turn this space into something so beautiful. There was a lot of sweat (and a little stress!), but just look at the outcome. It’s truly magical!

A huge thank-you to Katie and Stan Wiechenbach — words can’t express how thankful we are for you both! You poured countless hours into this project. From digging up weeds, to flower shopping with me, to sharing your gardening wisdom — you not only helped create this space, but also made the journey so meaningful. We truly bonded over flowers, and I’m so thankful to have met such wonderful people.

To Ron Vieilleux – thank you for all the hard work digging out old weeds and lilies!

To Ken, Jean, and Cheryl – thank you for helping with the mulch and digging up invasive weeds!

To Ron Herrin – thank you for hauling the loom with the tractor and helping us keep everything moving!

It was a beautiful team effort, and we’re so happy with the results. I truly hope future brides will enjoy this gorgeous garden space as much as we do. 💐

After hosting the Kennebec Valley Council of Governments yesterday, today we held two celebrations of life—one in each room at the same time. 😅 Both families were wonderful and deeply appreciative of the venue and the hard work we put in to make it a meaningful experience for their loved ones.

Both events were beautifully catered by Kevin and Teena from Good Eats Catering!

It may have been a wedding-free weekend, but the celebrations didn’t stop! We hosted a surprise 60th birthday party in our Member’s Lounge and welcomed a Maranacook class reunion in our Banquet Room. A fantastic time was had by all!
