I keep saying I’m trying to slow down this summer… but then someone says, “Want to do a wedding in a vineyard?” and how do you say no to that?

put together the most beautiful photography retreat nestled in the Arkansas mountains, and I was lucky enough to be asked to bring the flowers. A few hours from home, this vineyard felt like the perfect setting for a weekend wedding—more than just a day, but a whole experience with your people.

Here’s the vision, the blooms, and a little piece of something special I got to be part of. Grateful doesn’t even cover it.

Sometimes the hardest thing for me to do is be simple.

I’m someone who loves texture, layers, and variety in every bouquet—I love the process of building a piece that feels like a little garden in motion. So when I’m asked to create for a style shoot, my instinct is to go big and detailed, because I want to bring everything I can to the table.

But lately, I’ve been challenging myself to let the flowers do the talking. To trust that simplicity—done with intention—can still carry weight and emotion. And to be honest? It makes me nervous every time.

This bouquet went through five different variations. I kept changing it, adjusting the recipe, second-guessing whether it had “enough.” And finally, I stood back and asked, what if I just did Campanula and yarrow? No fluff. No filler. Just a few stems I really love. And I surprised myself by loving it.

Last night, my flowers were part of the .retreat for the second year in a row, and I have to say—it is still the most thoughtfully planned, wildly encouraging, and creatively inspiring shoot I’ve ever had the honor of being part of. The feedback, the kindness, the level of talent in that group… it’s honestly overwhelming in the best way.

This community has not only lifted me up but filled my wedding calendar in ways I never expected. I’m so grateful they keep inviting me in, and I never take that for granted.

Here are a few shots from that reminded me: maybe simple is strong enough. Maybe less can be more. And maybe this little Campanula + yarrow moment was exactly what it was supposed to be.

I swear I say this every time—but my photos never do it justice like the photographers’ do! Still, I absolutely loved this woodsy-themed wedding out on the edge of town.

This bridal bouquet has book more weddings than I can count. She’s the real MVP of my portfolio—timeless, romantic, and apparently, wildly persuasive.

Staying close to home this Memorial Day weekend, but trust me—I’m just resting up before a beautiful stretch of June weddings. Can’t wait to start designing again soon. This bouquet from a few months back still has me in my feels.

Sometimes you bend your own rules——- I always say I don’t do fake flowers and really I don’t. But there’s something special when a bride says, “I am getting married in CO and I would like for you to do my flowers. “

Two days before her wedding, she reached out:
“Can you build me a bouquet?”
Absolutely. This is where I thrive—creative freedom, no rules, just trust. That’s when the magic happens.

This photo isn’t professional—just a friend with a camera on a last-minute day full of love.
No big production. No fuss. Just two people choosing each other.

Nothing better than a marriage that starts with “because I love you.”
So happy for you, girl.
