True to their mission of supporting local entrepreneurs, Kenneth King Foundation hired RMMFI graduate Regina Edmondson to cook and deliver snacks for the virtual happy hour that followed the meeting. Regina owns CME Catering Services and has been testing a new business model for meal delivery after participating in RMMFI's first-ever Pivot Accelerator Program this year.

Invest👏 in👏 women. Between 2014 and 2019, the number of women-owned businesses in the US increased by 21%, compared to just 9% for all businesses. That growth was even higher for businesses owned by women of color, which grew at a rate of 43%. It seems obvious that we should be investing in these women-owned businesses if we want to catalyze economic revival across the country, but women entrepreneurs still face significant barriers to success. RMMFI’s goal is to unleash potential where it’s been overlooked or disregarded, and we’re proud that approximately 60% of the entrepreneurs we serve are women—including 11 of our 18 current boot camp participants!
