After starting out planning planning banquets, corporate events and conferences for busy downtown hotels, I quickly moved into the chaotic fun of planning city-wide multi-day festivals, like SXSW. When the event landscape shifted to virtual events, I quickly pivoted to planning virt

Book Announcement! Cheap Thrills will be bringing copies of My Boyfriend Satan by local PNW author, Leah Campbell.

After countless dinners with coked-out tech bros, wannabe goths, and ex-heroin addicts, 33-year-old Gwen Lenoir is ready to call it quits on dating and accept the fact that she will die a virgin. That is until she stumbles upon a new occult shop on the block and hits it off with Gunner Fox, the shop’s handsome owner. In a final Hail Mary attempt to find love, she leaves the store with his number and an ancient love spell book. But when she performs the ritual at home, she accidentally opens a portal and summons Satan, a seven-foot-tall muscular dreamboat with red skin and black horns.

Book Fair Vendor Announcement! Local author Kassidy Coursey will be joining us at the Grown Up Book Fair on Saturday, September 21st.

Kassidy is a Pacific Northwestern native who has re-cultivated her love of demon-wrangling and conservation after a long hiatus during school to get a “real job” as a physician.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Her Sins of the Maker trilogy is set for release from Shadow Spark Publishing with the first installment coming September 19, 2025, and she cannot wait to introduce the world to her Seven Deadly Sins fire babies.

In the meantime, for anyone dying to start meeting them early, she has an anthology story from her publisher featuring the embodiment of Wrath who is forced to take a vacation by her brothers, the Twins of Greed and Gluttony.

Clover Daydreams is a name, but also an aspiration: to build a safe and inclusive book space in South Tacoma/Puyallup Territory that centers BIPOC, Q***r, Trans, Disabled, and historically excluded voices.

Currently, Clover Daydreams is the only Asian-American owned bookstore in Tacoma!

One thing I did not have on my 2024 bingo card this year was: Be On A Podcast!  Uneventful is a weekly podcast hosted by Saundra Severtson, an event veteran with over 20 years of experience. In each episode, she chats with folks who have seen it all - venue managers, security staff, vendors and of course planners!  I had such a blast sharing how I got interested in events, why I started Cute Story, the highs and lows of running a business, and the chaotic event moments I can’t forget.
