Wedding planners are the first vendor (besides your venue) that you should book because they are a VITAL part of the planning process!! While you might think they are just an additional expense, it's quite the opposite. They can help you prioritize your budget from start to finish and ensure you get your primary wants. When couples wedding plan themselves, they often spend more money than planned because there are items they didn't know they needed to budget for.

Some of the best advice I can give you while planning your wedding day timeline is to over budget time for your formals.

Your guests will always be there, ready to see you and party with you when you get to your reception. But the one thing you do not want is to comprise the very little time the two of you have alone during one of the biggest days of your lives.

These are the photos you will hang in your home and show off.

Most wedding days run behind schedule, and family photos can sometimes take way longer than you planned. Often the time for your formals is affected by this to keep the reception on time.

Your photographer will always do their best with the time that they have. But trust me, these will be your favorite images from the day!

Over budget time for this. Two-Three hours is a healthy amount of time to ensure you still have a full gallery of formals - especially if you have to travel to a new location - just in case ✨

Knowing where to begin and what needs to be done can be daunting. After booking me (you won't regret it!), deciding the date, budget, guests, and location are your next big to-dos. Create a separate email account for all your wedding correspondence. You can create folders for vendors and bridal party information, and it's all in one place!
