Always a pleasure to be one of the first to photograph a beautiful gown. Hand selected by for this springs bridal inspiration. This Nelly Gown by walked the runways at the New York Fashion Week for SS2024. I especially was drawn to the detailed Off-the-shoulder cape with ruffled tulle. I’m always drawn to a little unique moment for a bridal look.

For one of these images I was privileged to work with on posing technique and I had such a blast picking a part a single pose to elevated it to it best potential. She’s trielt a joy! I will forever be a student of the art of photography and continuing to level up my craft. It was just fantastic to learn from one of the greats.

I love the calm moments before the wedding excitement of the day pushes us. Taking time with my brides and couples through out the day to breath is an essential part of the wedding day timeline for me. Calm, collective and always intentional is how I spent my days with my couple.

Texture: from painting, interior design and of course photography, I am always seeking texture. Visual texture is intriguing and my hope is you can almost feel it when you look at my images. In 80 years when this brides grand children look at her wedding day album, I want them to be able to immerse themselves in the feeling of the day, the textures of her dress, the smell of the greenery and florals. Feeling as though they where taken back to that day with her.

I’ve spent the last few years deeply working on my fears. Fear of loss, fear of mistakes, fear of others.. the list grows to a countless and sometimes unknown amount of fears. It’s paralysis for me. When I push through and act bold my body takes account. This last week I did something extremely bold for myself. I left my family, flew alone, to a city and state I’ve never been. Stayed alone in a hotel, and attended a workshop all alone full of people I didn’t know. Met so many new and wonderful people. As I drove places alone, ate alone, slept alone, encountered some challenges, I gained more self perspective. Gained more confidence. Had fun. Had I knew someone I was meeting or flew there to see someone personally it would’ve felt safe and easy. But to go, not knowing no one is waiting for me.. it feels different. I didn’t allow fear to hold me back from something that would help invest in more confidence and tear down more walls going forward. I thinks it’s ok to be proud of that today.

Brand photography: If you haven’t noticed already, I am a big fan of and Nikki’s insistence on making a quality, luxurious and all around gorgeous product for her clients. Working with her through the years has been so inspiring. The high standard of is unmatched. If you’re looking for an heirloom quality gem, I cannot recommend her work enough.

Such a privilege to photograph these moments on families lives.

I told myself motherhood wouldn’t change me, and it’s the fattest lie I’ve ever told. Let’s ignore the physical changes that happen for just a minute. I still laugh at myself for doing the things I told I wouldn’t do because I didn’t want to be “that parent”. We all have idealistic expectations of what type of parents we’ll be: No TV before 2 years of age, the cry-out method, only breast milk, only organic, only the best…

You’re not going to get any parenting advice in this post. I’m just here to tell you my 7 month old and I watched Grey’s Anatomy tonight and it was quite the bonding experience.

Time goes by too fast.. this little man is just a month and a half away from turning one year. So grateful I get to be his mama. I was scared I wouldn’t know how to open my heart to two babies but it’s so amazing to love them both in two different ways but all the same.. with all my heart.. I love how him and Eisley have each other. They laugh, play and love each other and it’s just a joy to have him in our family.
