2025 is the year I’m stepping out of my comfort zone! This cake isn’t perfect, but it’s a first step toward pushing my boundaries. I made this cake for a sweet seven-year-old celebrating her birthday today, and she absolutely loved it! While I see areas for improvement, she only saw the joy in it. Word of advice: don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone—you might surprise yourself!

As a home baker, everything I make is baked to order. Yesterday, I received a call from a customer who only wanted one jumbo vanilla birthday cupcake. Normally, my jumbo cupcakes are sold by the half-dozen, but sometimes you have to step out of the box. I decided to take the order—and I even threw in an extra cupcake. You never know where your blessings may come from, and going the extra mile can make a difference.

I don’t need a holiday to bake—I just love baking! I made 12 sweet potato pies, 2 pecan pies, a red velvet Bundt cake, pineapple Bundt cake, and a total of three dozen cupcakes: red velvet, chocolate, and a dozen and a half pineapple cupcakes. And no these pie isn’t cooked.😂 happy holidays.

Today was an amazing day! I had the pleasure of fulfilling a large order that included 12 mini lemon cakes and 24 red velvet cakes. It was a busy day in the kitchen, from zesting fresh lemons for that perfect citrusy flavor to ensuring the red velvet cakes were as moist and velvety as ever. The kitchen was filled with the rich aroma of freshly baked treats, and seeing the final batch completed brought such a sense of accomplishment. Moments like these remind me why I love what I do — bringing joy through my baked creations. Feeling grateful for the trust my customers place in me and excited for more opportunities like this!
