It’s the real deal!

If you want to be recruited it helps if you play for a team that is known and respected by college coaches. One of our 14U players had the opportunity to play up with our 16U team at the recently concluded USSSA Eastern Nationals. A college coach familiar with the Lightning saw us playing and stopped to watch. That coach asked us about that 14U player. Conversation with the coaches ensued and emails between the player and the college coach were exchanged after the event. When the college coach reached out to our player and the coach told our player --

"I always know Lightning players have been coached up!"

Recruiting is hard, but it's made easier when talented players have come before you and have paved the way for your success. So coaching, contacts and resources all make a difference and give you an advantage as your pursue your college playing aspirations. But as a player have to be bold and take a step towards enhancing your career and your opportunities and it all starts by trying out for the team. Challenge yourself to be great.
