Good Morning & Happy Saturday!
Are you still nursing that holiday hangover from Christmas or are you frantically figuring out how to throw a New Year’s bash without burning down the house? We're soaking up this lovely weather! Yesterday, in my reel featuring the ice houses on the lake – well, most of them were hauled off like last week’s leftovers due to the melting. We hit a sizzling 40 degrees yesterday! I hope you all have a day that's as fantastic as discovering an extra fry at the bottom of the bag. 🍟 So, in our ongoing saga of my son’s car—drumroll, please—it turns out the car is toast! Yes, folks, 216 thousand miles on it, and it has officially retired. I guess it figured it did its job and is now enjoying a permanent vacation.
If anyone happens to be selling a vehicle that’s cheaper than a cup of coffee because this kid isn’t exactly rolling in the dough, please send me a message. My son needs wheels!🚗

Good Morning & Happy Thursday. I sure hope everyone had a great Christmas. We sure had quite the adventure! Ours started good, but my son left to drive home, and his car broke down on the freeway; we had to tow his car back to our house, which took us two hours, and he was only about 35 minutes or so from home. The worst part was he'd never been towed before, so i rode with him as his dad towed us. It's now getting dark, and of course, it's cold out, and the kid's battery died on the way, so I'm now sitting in the dark, the window fogging up, freezing. It's a good thing i bought him a comforter for Christmas that kept me pretty warm. We finally got the car home, and then he had to find someone to bring him home and go to work the next day. Would you believe we finally made it to bed by 12:30am? I did learn something: At midnight, they switched the music from Christmas to oldie rock.
