One of the most elegant and classy flowers out there! Here are some facts that I bet you didn’t know: 1. They’re basically water balloons. Their thick stems hold so much water that if you cut one and squeeze it—water will literally drip out. Nature’s hydration pack! 2. They can last without water. Because of their water-storing stems, callas can stay fresh out of water for hours, making them a florist fave for events and bouquets on the go. 3. Callas are lowkey poisonous. Every part of the plant contains calcium oxalate crystals, which can cause mouth burns if eaten—so don’t let pets or curious kids snack on them! 4. They’re funeral flowers in some cultures. In Italy, calla lilies symbolize death and are often seen at gravesites—so gifting them there might get you some weird looks. 5. Want a natural curve? Bend them gently. Unlike other flowers that snap, calla lily stems are super flexible—you can actually reshape them with your hands for that perfect, elegant flow.
