Grateful. It’s day 11 without power after Hurricane Helene, and even still, we’re so grateful and humbled.
Aside from a huge mess of large pine trees and debris, structurally the damage sustained at the barn, lodge, pondhouse, and cabin was manageable and not nearly as bad as it could have been.
A huge thank you to our incredible team that has worked tirelessly to make repairs and get everything back event ready for whenever power is restored!
Thank you also to our sweet couples that have been willing to work with us during these unforeseen and uncontrollable circumstances around their wedding days ❤️
And, of course, many thanks to the dedicated linemen working around the clock to restore power to our area and so many around us that are still without as well! We have some barn goody bags on the way to you to show our appreciation!
It’s been heartwarming, to say the very least, to see the way our community has come together in the wake of devastation. Countless local businesses, churches, and good neighbors have given of their time and resources to make sure those in need were taken care of, roads were cleared, trees removed, roofs tarped, and much more. These efforts started at day light last Friday morning. As soon as the storm had settled, many went to work helping anywhere they could! We’re so proud to be a part of Appling County!
As soon as power is restored on the farm, we will have rooms available for anyone in need of a bed, warm shower, and cool AC!
Even through a hurricane, the Lord’s goodness remains, and His mercies are new each morning 🌤️
