Sure it varies based on the time of year and your venue- but if you ask us there’s definitely a “sweet spot” time of day for getting married on the Ranch!

We normally try to steer couples away from anything before 4pm if hosting an evening wedding, and here’s why:👇🏽

The earlier your ceremony time, the more rushed your entire day feels.

You and your bridal party have less time to enjoy getting ready together, your vendors are rushed to prepare and the lighting isn’t always as ideal for your photographer.

Not to mention the entire event wraps up earlier (which may be your preference) but we’ve had couples host early in the day and be disappointed when guests leave early in the evening!

So what’s the sweet spot? We love 4:30 and here’s why!

- Most ceremonies last about 30 minutes, so usually you’re done by 5pm leaving plenty of time for a cocktail hour and photography.

- The entire flow of the night feels natural with guests eating dinner by 6/6:30 leaving plenty of time for toasts, dessert and dancing.

- We like to build in time for a bride & groom sunset photo shoot during the “Golden Hour” (like this video!)

- By the time 11pm rolls around your guests have been in attendance for 5 1/2 hours, so most likely everyone is ready to retire for the evening or carry on the celebrations elsewhere!

Ultimately it’s up to you two, it’s your celebration after all. But over the years this has seemed to be the best fit for our venue. 🌅
