Had the pleasure of working with Isabelle Hamilton on her wedding last weekend at Columbia Turner Hall. A combination of sage green, white and gold made a very classy combination. A Disney wedding was the dream wedding for Kasey and Cody...but it had to be red black white and silver ....classy... not like a kid's birthday party...but for adults...and stay on a budget. This was one of our biggest challenges yet....it was over a year in the planning...thrifting... crafting...and decorating stages....by not just me but my entire staff...Most everything used in this decor was thrifted...or created...this was definitely a team effort to make this couple's dream wedding come true...so blessed to work with this group of people...and so happy to work with this couple on this very special theme wedding.

My first New Year's Eve wedding and my first New Year's Tree to decorate.... Celebrating a new year and a new life together...it was so great working with Megan Shudrowitz and Max Pansing on their special day...an elegant affair all in gold, black and white...with a lot of sparkle. Congratulations and Happy New Year to both of them and their family. It's been an interesting year but somehow weddings still managed to go on...with a lot of adjustments. Such was the case of Allison Stolte and Jacob Wiskamp's wedding and reception. When the venue was closed up....the entire family chipped in and turned their barn into the perfect venue. Thanks to Jacob... Becky...Vanessa and Dean Wiskamp... Becky Stolte and their entire family and friends. I also want to thank my entire crew for adapting to unusual circumstances...Chad Purdy... Deborah Brittin...James Blaylock... Sophie and Jessica.

Barb made my daughter and son in law’s wedding perfect! She goes above and beyond by taking care of every detail from getting the unity candle and programs to church and decorating it beautifully to making sure the hall is elegant just as planned.. she even took care of the snack table and helped us stay on schedule at the wedding.. I can not describe how helpful and hard working Barb is! Thank you Barb from the bottom of our hearts! The wedding was incredible and you played a major role. You put our minds at ease and we knew everything was taken care of.
We had the pleasure of working on the wedding of Megan Middendorf and Robby Gonzalez awhile back . She knew the type of wedding she wanted and all the colors as well...They were very involved and helpful in all the planning.....With her and her mom's help (Donna Middendorf) ..we were hopefully able to give her the wedding and reception of her

We recently had the pleasure of decorating for the wedding of Alex and Paige Pellmann...she knew exactly the kind of wedding she wanted ...not just in colors and style but down to every detail. They also wanted to add some special touches with a nod to Alex's firefighter career.

Christmas is my favorite time of year so I was thrilled to get to work on the wedding of Quinn and Mallory Rodenberg. This couple wanted a holiday season wedding using Christmas lights...trees...red berries..and greenery... They were a great couple to work with and Mallory knew the look she wanted from the very first meeting. Wintery wonderland is the theme and dusty blue is the color for the wedding of Jordyn Amos and Brendan Schumacher..We had the pleasure of working with this wonderful couple and their parents...they were all involved and very helpful in making Brendan and Jordyn's dream wedding a reality. Going to do a quick post of some of our most recent weddings...BK design has been very busy actually decorating for weddings ....so we don't always get a chance to post as fast as we would like...so here's a quick overview. We will try to post more as soon as we can!!
We also had the pleasure of working on the wedding and reception of Ronny and Brittany Geissert (Skaer). Her vision included a rustic look with all shades of purple. With the help of her ...the entire family and the staff at the American Legion in Columbia .. especially Charlie and Tom..we managed to make her vision a reality! Thanks also to the BK design team... including Chad Purdy...Ann Hein... Lisa James and Rob Folk.
For all you baseball fans...this one's for you...an elegant baseball wedding. How do you do baseball and elegant at the same time...with the help of the bride Caitlin Nappier Cross... Kyle Cross the groom...and the entire family... especially Julie Nappier. They all had wonderful creative ideas and hopefully we " knocked it out of the park". Thanks to the Caitlin.. Kyle.. A "Goth" wedding?? Ok this was a first for me ...the challenge was to give the bride and groom ....Lucas Clemente and Sydney Adams Clemente the look they wanted and keep it elegant as well. The bigger challenge was keeping everyone happy ... including the grandmother. Melody Clemente.. my sister friend of 30 plus years. My thanks to the bride and groom...Chad Purdy.. David Young.. WOW...we have been so busy with weddings that we haven't had time to post in awhile...so we will try to get a few posted now since we still have a busy wedding season ahead of us.
We had the pleasure of working on the Devan Koesterer/Nussbaumer wedding/reception at the Smithton Turner Hall. She loved the blush pink color along with touches of gold. Thanks to Ann .. Lisa.. Tanner James and David Young for all of their help.
We recently had the pleasure of working on the wedding and reception of Stephanie Stanger and Jacob Weber . Stephanie and her mother Sandi Sminchak were very involved in the design of much of this wedding...And their involvement is evident in the personal touches throughout the event. My thanks to them... Bonnie Straub and the entire staff of Columbia Turner Hall....But I have to say a well deserved thanks and congratulations to the BK design team on all their extra work in making this event come off as planned...
