Our Story
The prestigious Oregon High Desert Classics (OHDC) is the only event of its kind in Central Oregon. Approved by the US Hunter jumper Association, and recipient of the A rating from the US Equestrian Foundation, this show attracts world class riders from all over the US and Canada. One of only 25 to receive Heritage Horse Show designation, it is also the only show of its caliber which is primarily a fundraiser for a non-profit.
Every year the last two weeks in July hundreds of horses and thousands of participants gather on the beautiful 40 acre ranch in Bend OR to compete for cash and prizes on one of the last remaining grass footing rings in the country. OHDC offers 3 jumper arenas and 3 hunter arenas, 4 schooling/lunging rings and on site barns for up to 600 horses, these amenities will keep you coming back year after year.
Family, staff, vendors, and spectators join in celebrating the athleticism of horses and riders while enjoying a variety of food and shopping opportunities in the show village green.
The businesses and organizations that support this incredibly special event are not only bringing a world class horse show to Central Oregon they are also helping facilitate change for youth in jeopardy.
