Feast on the delights our amazing local businesses have created for you. This culinary celebration will include sweet and savory foods, adult and non-alcoholic beverages, and live entertainment as you hop from one location to the next on beautiful North Shattuck and Vine.

Purchase tickets online, then check-in at Shattuck Avenue and Vine Street to get your Taste of North Berkeley Passport at the event.

I love how corn is mysteriously good and picking up sauce. And it’s best on the cob.

That is also a type of freshness indicator. A certain wow factor that tells, this corn must be in season because this party is serving it on the cob and it must not have been stored in a bag in someone’s freezer for two months and taken out occasionally to ice an impacted joint injury.

All those kernals nestled together making enough crevices to have a sauce latch onto. And both chicken and corn are eaten by hands so everything gets everywhere.

Sauce is the key to good BBQ! Making a good sauce in house makes the flavor unique and special.

At The Table Catering, we shy away from refined sugar, so for sweetener, we use local honey. Instead of ketchup, we make our own tomato jam, and season our sauce with spices and molasses. Sauces for bbq should be thick in order to stay on the meat. To acquire some thickness we reduce stock for the gelatin to give the sauce a nice richness.

🍫 Everybody loves brownies! Chef Peter finishes our Easter menu off with his own special Brown Butter Brownie, which showcases whole grain flour and local honey. Using honey in place of refined sugar results in a dense, fudgey brownie, and browned butter lends a nutty aroma that perfectly complements whole grains and honey.

🍓 Meet the springy salad that rounds out our Easter menu! The season's first strawberries share space with carrots, pumpkin seeds, fennel, and Meyer lemon from our backyard tree on a bed of organic mixed lettuces. This one comes with our house balsamic dressing and optional add-ons of organic chicken or tofu.

✨ With the help of whole grain flour and butter from , Chef Peter will be baking up three kinds of springtime scones – dark chocolate cherry, lemon poppyseed, and our very own sweet potato-sage with vanilla maple dressing, all served up on platters for a festive breakfast!

🤔 Choosing sides? How about roasted agrodolce squash? Agrodolce is a sweet-sour Italian sauce of reduced honey and red wine vinegar that punches up the mild, comforting flavors of roasted squash. Chef Peter serves with a sprinkling of plump raisins and parsley.
