This Wednesday's W**d of the Week: Yarrow!

I have a bunch of this in garden and we still literally pick this guy out the hay field! You'll find it on roadside, oftentimes alongside oxeye daisies. These longlasting blooms are a workhorse in my June arrangements!

Wednesday's W**d of the Week: Penny Cress! This guy adds such a unique texture to a bouquet! Cress first sets little white flowers at the end of short stalks and as the flowers are pollinated and start to set seeds, it sends up more little white flowers. It's kind of easy to ignore until it's all seeded out like these are!

Look for them in bouquets this week!

Tomorrow is May Day! So, what the heck is May Day? Celebrated every May 1st, May Day is approximately half way between the first day of spring and the first day of summer. By May 1st, the weather is turning warmer and we see the first blooms of the year. Traditionally, people would pick flowers and leave them in a basket on someone's door and see if the recipient would guess who left it for them! 🥰 Just a random act of kindness!

I've got a few dried posies and some small tulip bouquets for sale down at AJ's Riverside if you'd like to participate. Each are in hanging bouquet holders and the tulips are hydrated and ready to go!

I plan to drop off a couple of them, but I'm not sure I'll ding-dong-ditch the deliveries. Seems like a fun excuse to say hi to some people I haven't seen in awhile! Who would you flower bomb on May Day?
