Stopping to appreciate all of it in 2025 — the squishy baby thighs, the pause to hold back tears during your vows, freedom to serve as a mother and wife, our itty bitty house in the woods, cooking from scratch with layne, quiet mornings with Jesus, a phone call from a friend I haven’t spoken to in a while — all of it.

I can’t separate Allie Havens Film from my personal life because it is all of me, and me all of it. She has evolved with me over the last half decade to become what she is today. An outlet for me to share with you the beauty I see in the world, a beauty I cherish so much more since becoming a wife and mother to 2.

I owe so much of who I am to this job and the people I’ve met through it. Freezing time during the best parts of your life, that you might now even know are the best parts yet.

In 2025 I want to listen twice as much a I speak, to connect the ones around me on a deeper level. I want to play on the floor with my kids everyday and learn new things as they do, to love harder, feel things more strongly, care for people better, to be more creative.

I want to FEEL more strongly and weave that into every single film and photo I deliver.

Thank you all for supporting me through this — I couldn’t do it without you. The kind words, sharing my work with your friends, a like, a referral. I would not be the photographer & filmmaker I am today without the love and feedback I get from all of you.

I would like to announce that I have availability for 2/3 birth films & photos for due dates January — early April of 2025!!

Since becoming a filmmaker it has been a dream of mine to capture a birth, and even more so since having my own 2 babies. I would love nothing more than to relive the miracle of bringing them into the world.

Let me help you do that — freeze that time through photos and videos and rewatch them again and again.

No matter what the birth looks like, I want to be there for you. A hospital birth, a homebirth, a vbac. All birth is a miracle and a blessing!

celebrating marissa and billy’s engagement in an apple orchard this fall 🤍🍎

my favorite part of the session was how comfortable they were by the end of it! we played shaboozey, danced, took a walk, played fetch with maggie and laughed the entire time.

with baby beaus birth — I didn’t take a whole lot of sessions this fall, but I’m so happy with the ones I did! I will definitely be doing more of this next year.

the most incredible part about birth to me is not the birth of a baby, but the birth of a mother.

pregnancy and motherhood are the most humbling, joyful, exhausting, and fulfilling times of our lives. everything is new again. we’re constantly learning about ourselves, our husbands, our babies.

I love being able to freeze this time for expecting moms in the form of photos. she is always changing, but these memories will remain the same.

words are not good enough to unravel the beauty of what happened in this room. what an incredible gift from heaven baby Reid is.

disbelief. I cannot wrap my head around this little baby miracle.

the only way I can describe being in the room is awe. aww of Sara’s strength, JRs support of his wife, awe of the care of the medical staff, awe of God’s overwhelming love.

I will never forget this feeling.

austin and jane met when we were freshmen in highschool together, 11 years later they tied the knot in the same town they fell in love. I have been blessed to watch their love grow over the years and this day felt full circle in so many ways.

to know these two is to love them.

saturday was a beautiful testament to that, they were surrounded by so much love and support we did not stop laughing the entire day.

here forever, please.

I have recently been reminiscing on the reasons I have a camera in the first place. to remember the now, the messy, the in between — forever. to freeze time and revisit it later. I feel so overwhelming blessed for the ability to do this.

this weekend was thrown together as a last ditch effort by my sister to spend one last weekend together before the close of summer. we almost didn’t go. I was fighting mastitis and isaac worked late on friday. but we went anyway.

I left my camera on the cabin table and picked it up for a few seconds a couple times.

now I’ll have these to look back at forever.

camp looks different these days. less skiing, less beach trips, less hiking, more nursing, contact naps and cards houses.

but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
