The Bethany Celebration is a non-profit organization made up of a group of volunteers and funded solely by donations, sponsorships and fundraisers. We try to provide as much free entertainment as possible, including our Fabulous Fireworks display that ends our festival each year!

Tickets for the Stolen Key Scavenger Hunt are now available at the Village Hall and the library!

There are 2 tickets options: Individual (if you are participating alone) and group (a group of 2-5)

Prices are $5 per person or a group of 5 for $20.

You can pay with cash or check at either location but it must be the correct amount as they do not have change.

Ticket sales will end on May 15!

Get your teams together and get signed up for our first ever scavenger hunt. $5/person or group of 5 for $20 - this Includes a cookout meal (hotdog, chips & drink) afterwards!

How does it work? Once gathered at the park you will be given a lineup and a page of riddles. The riddles will lead you to the clues. Using process of elimination, the clues, and your minds, you will work together to figure out who stole the key and where they have hidden it!

Our popular mud volleyball tournament is back! No need to pre register, just show up that day with your team and registration fee.

This year we are playing 1 game to 25, double elimination. Hopefully this will help move games along a little quicker and allow more teams to enter!

We love seeing all the teams come out in their team shirts so grab some friends and come find us at the bottom of the hill on Saturday June 24!

The Celebration Parade will begin at 10:30 am on Saturday June 24!

There is no entry fee for the parade, just go to the OV High School for lineup beginning at 9:30 am.

We will post the parade route shortly!

We are less than a month away from the deadline for Sponsorships and Advertisements for the Booklets. These booklets are handed out to local businesses and people in the Bethany, Sullivan, Findlay, Dalton City area. If you have a small business where you are looking for cliental, or just simply want to show support towards your town, this is a great way to do it. Remember PEOPLE PAY ATTENTION TO WHO SUPPORTS THEIR TOWN.

Grab some friends and come join us in supporting all military and law enforcement in our annual 5K

Proceeds will be split this year between two nonprofits: Peacemaker Project 703 and 217 VETS Illinois We highly encourage you look into both organizations and see all the amazing work both groups are up to.

A copy of the registration form will be posted in the comments. Sign up by June 1 to be guaranteed a tshirt.

Can’t make it but still want to support? We are also taking orders on the T-shirts! Simply fill out the form but make a note you are not participating in the 5k. Shirts will be available Saturday morning at registration

Don’t forget about the Chili Cookoff tomorrow night!

Contestants: Sign-ins begin at 4:30, bring your chili, serving spoon and any toppings you’d like.

We have serval signed up so make sure to spread to word to get people to come in and be the judges!

Raffle tickets will be available! As well as bake sale items!

You can still sign up, however the fee is now $15!

Today is the last day to sign up for the chili cookoff for the fee of $10 per chili!

If we have already talked to you then you’re good to go! After today the fee will be $15 per chili

Remember to make enough for people to sample and possibly buy bowls off. (We suggest at least a crockpot)

Also bring a serving spoon and any toppings you want to serve with your chili!

Everything else (bowls, spoons, testing cups, etc) will be provided by us.

We can’t wait to see everyone!!

We only have 4 people signed up for the chili cook-off. I know there’s more cooks out there! Dig out grandma’s old recipe book and see what you can come up with!

Cash prizes for hottest, most unique and crowd favorite!

Are you someone that burns boiling water? That’s okay! Come out and be a judge! 3 free samples…find one you love? Buy a bowl for $5!

There will be a 50/50, bake sale and we will have our raffle prize tickets for sale as well!

Remember these fundraisers are how we pay for everything during the celebration! If you want a bigger & better celebration we need your help in raising the funds!

Just a couple reminders for the Chili Cookoff on February 25th!

Please register by the 20th so we know how many entries to expect! The registration form is in the comments!

You can mail the form and entry fees ($10 per entry) to PO Box 543, Bethany, IL 61914

If you sign up after the 20th the entry fee will be $15

Be sure to spread the word, the bigger the crowd the better! The public are the judges so we need them to show up!

Some more details on the chili cookoff 🌶️
February 25 @ the Bethany American Legion

•What are the rules?

No rules, we have the categories of traditional, spicy, bean, no bean and vegetarian. Just make enough for people to sample and buy bowls of.

•What do we need to bring?

Bring your chili, serving spoon and any toppings you would serve with your chili! Everything else (bowls, spoons, tasting cups, etc) will be provided by us.

The cost is $10/chili. Want to make more than one kind? Go for it!

This is open to the public, they will be our taste testers and can purchase bowls of the chili to eat, so be sure to spread the word to get people to come out! The cost is $5 for a bowl plus 3 samples. Additional samples can be purchased.

There will also be a 50/50 raffle and a bake sale!

The Legion will have their bar available for drinks!
