Christopher Hampton, Oscar nominated along with Florian Zeller for Writing (Adapted Screenplay) on The Father, joins acclaimed Vietnamese-American filmmaker Tiana Alexandra-Silliphant, international journalist Hugh Bohane, and indie filmmaker and editor Douglas Thompson to discuss working with Florian, Anthony Hopkins and others on the film. The Father marks the third Oscar nomination Christopher has received, along with nominations for writing on Atonement, and Dangerous Liaisons ā for which he won Best Adapted Screenplay. Tiana Alexandra-Silliphant is the widow of infamous writer Stirling Silliphant, who won his Oscar for In the Heat of the Night. Her breakthrough feature documentary From Hollywood to Hanoi won top awards at Telluride and Sundance. Douglas Thompson has been writing and editing feature documentaries with two-time Oscar nominated actor and director Djimon Hounsou. Hugh Bohane writes for the Australian Broadcast Corporation, Vice, The Atlantic and Rolling Stone.
