In the early 1970s, during high school, I began working for the third largest florist in St. It was a family business of over four generations. While being employed by Nedved’s flowers, I was trained in the art of floral design, customer service, plant care and design, as well as all aspects of the floral business. The hands-on experience I received at Nedved’s was a rare and excellent opportunity

for a wide range of training in the floral industry. As a high school student, I won several awards in my job training program for my floral displays. After high school, I was employed by a small but very busy floral shop in Marshall, Minnesota. I worked full-time and had the opportunity to work on the design of all styles and categories. In the late, 1970s I the started my own business, which is when Lynette’s Touch of Design was born. I started by creating wedding designs for brides. At that time, I realized my true passion in the floral industry was for weddings and assisting brides in personalizing their bouquets and decor for their very special days. I have called myself a family florist because many times I meet people during their wedding planning or graduation parties and they continue to call me to provide floral designs for the special occasions in their lives. Even though times of loss are very difficult, I enjoy being able to assist people during their grieving process and help them honor their lost loved ones. Regardless of need, serving customers is very rewarding. I continue to create designs primarily as an event florist, but I will make special birthday, anniversary and holiday bouquets for anyone who contacts me. Personal consultations are an important part of my business, as I feel they are necessary for me to fully understand the desires of a customer and create the perfect design. Aside from beautiful floral pieces, my strength is personal service. I am fully committed to my customers from start to finish, surpassing expectations. I prefer to deliver flowers personally to the ceremony and reception sites to ensure placement is correct. I even pin on the corsages and boutonnieres so they look the best they can look for photos and throughout the event. I am here to listen and deliver your ideal custom floral creations. I look forward to hearing from you. Lynette

If you have a group that would love to create any style of floral piece, I am available to teach the mechanics of the design and assist the participants as they create there own unique creation. I am willing to come to your location for a group of 8 or more participants. The cost of the class will include the materials, instruction & travel ( if applicable). The person organizing the event will receive a discount. Weekdays, weeknights & weekend days are available to schedule an event. Contact me for additional details.

Class: Spring Metal Ring Faux Wreath

Create a spring wreath with faux flowers and greenery. It can be a perfect piece for your front door or in any room of your home. Demonstrations and assistance to each student will be provided by the instructor during the assembly time of the wreath.
Cost: $50 Includes all supplies in a variety of color options for a 14 inch wreath similar to the photos. Additional items will be available for sale at class. Please bring a fabric scissors, glue gun, and glue sticks and a wire cutter.
