We are excited to announce that we have hired our first Deputy Fire Chief, Api Weinert! Chief Weinert previously served as Division Chief overseeing Logistics for the Laguna Beach Fire Department and had worked for the Department since 1988. He has led the Operations, EMS, Training, and Arson divisions. He has responded to many significant events throughout his career, including the LA Riots, the Laguna Fire of 1993, and as a Strike Team Engine Leader to multiple wildland fires across California. He also served 23 years as a professional ocean lifeguard and eight years as a paid professional ski patrolman. The Department is pleased to have Chief Weinert join the Placentia Fire and Life Safety Department. He reports directly to the Fire Chief and will oversee Fire Operations and Personnel. Welcome to Placentia!
