MELINA & ALEX! CONGRATULATIONS! This sweet & fun couple met on a dating app in 2019 - swipe swipe, and then...BOOM, the mutual like - Alex liked her smile, thought she was pretty; she thought he was cute on his paddleboard. They saw mutual photos of nature, pets, and wildlife on their profiles and discussed their interests. They met at the beach at the end of Commercial Blvd. If you know the spot, it's fun and busy, but it wasn't long before they didn't so much want to be a part of the busy, but instead, found themselves walking the beach, and sitting under the boardwalk chatting, night sky with stars and just a touch of moonlight. This was no quick swipe. They talked beachside for FOUR HOURS. She was studying biology - he made some nerdy science joke that got her attention. It's been 5 years, and they continue to love the outdoors, animals, and more - their families gel well. Alex and Melina's dad get along very well because they're both outdoorsmen. Their engagement took place off Hillsboro beach, where their friends Taylor (groomsmen today) and Ariana (a bridesmaid) were there to witness as it was made after an exciting ocean dive. Try as he could Alex tried to hide that his proposal was coming as he was awkward all that day. During the adventure, Melina got seasick, and Alex had to postpone a bit until she felt better! Melina could tell Alex was nervous and their friends were just kind of waiting around. Melina figured soon enough what was coming and she readily said, “YES!” Today, I had the honor of being their wedding officiant! There in front of all their family and friends they shared personal vows and promises and said their “I Do’s.” Congratulations to this special couple. It was fun and joyous indeed!

1-27-24 I had the absolute joy of being the wedding officiant for Romlhy & Zach yesterday. Theirs was a genuine touching love story that led to this day. Both are nurses met in late 2019 and were tasked soon after with the work and crises of the pandemic. Through those times they grew closer, gave each other comfort, and made each other laugh. When I asked in our pre-ceremony meeting, “What is it about the other that makes you know?” Almost simultaneously they said “she/he fills my cup.” Thank you Zach & Romlhy for trusting me with your ceremony, your vows, and this most sacred honor! 11-19-23. Kim & Ian. I was honored to be the chosen officiant for this couple's marriage which was ten years in the making. After meeting at a High School party celebrating the release of a highly anticipated video game (yes, really) they became great friends. Best friends. Through the truth of heart that exists in friendship, they grew to know true love. Kim said, "I know Ian's every breath" and before he could stammer through a marriage proposal of "Will, you...could you...?" Kim said, "Of course I will!" 11-4-23 Congratulations Micaela & David! I had the pleasure and honor to be this couple's wedding officiant thanks to a late call from my friend Carmela Cagle/Carmelita Events recommendation. They got married on the Ocean at the Palm Beach Singer Island. They met online and had their first date on the Intracoastal Waterway at the fun Old Key Lime House. They describe themselves as “best friends taking joy in the “day to day” things making it all the more fun. When I asked them "What was it that made about each other...?" Today I had the honor to officiate the RE-commitment marriage of Doshin & Patrick at Rayshell Ranch in Loxahatchee. After meeting by chance encounter at a Sports Bar (they met at 4 pm, and left at 2AM) they couldn't stay away from each other. 10 years, a whole life, four children since with so much joy and love in their hearts. Our initial conversation was hard to get through only because they laughed and had so much fun along the way. Their happy spirit is contagious. I was happy to be there with them. I believe in love.
