Edit some photos with me and let’s talk turnaround times!

Lead times on full collection delivery can be anywhere from 10 to 12 weeks for most professional wedding photographers..
The reasons why I might surprise you, and it’s true that it doesn’t take us 12 weeks to edit your photos.

During high season, we shoot as many as one to three weddings a week, and sneak peek preview galleries are promised to be delivered within one week of your wedding date.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
During the week that follows your wedding (and sometimes 1 or 2 others), we upload and back up thousands and thousands of photos. Then we sift through and hand select anywhere from 50 to 100 photos to edit and send you for sneak peaks before we recharge/organize our gear to get prepared for the following wedding weekend.
(aka: little or no personal/family time 😆)
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This leaves us little to zero time to actually edit full collections during wedding season so full galleries take a backseat until the season ends.

Once things slow down, we revisit the weddings in order from the beginning of season to the end as we dive into individually editing 600 to 1000 photos per gallery.

We ALWAYS prioritize a timely turnaround as best we can - and we always edit galleries in order of the queue, regardless of weddings sizes.

Our job doesn’t end after the wedding - it only begins!

Hi all!

It has been a REALLY long time since I’ve introduced myself here, and we have a lot of new faces following so I figured what better time to re-introduce myself than now to announce the addition to my growing family!

I’m Robin 👋🏼
Owner and founder of Sand + Sea Studios!
I’m a wife, boy mom (of now 2!), and an ocean lover since day 1!
I just had my second son last week and we are in total newborn bliss all over again over here. My boys’ names are Julian (2yo) and Elijah (nb) and my husband is Greg as many of you already know. He’s my number one hype man and my family is my whole world.

When I’m not capturing your beautiful fams, relationships, and wedding days, you’ll catch the Hall fam on the boat, at the sandbar, fishing, freediving, or in the Bahamas doing all the same things!

My love for photography started in highschool but really took off during the 5 years I lived in Hawaii with my now husband/highschool sweetheart.

There I worked weddings under an incredible mentor, as well as doing family and couple sessions at Maui’s top resorts, and I also worked on a snorkel tour boat doing underwater photos! Jobs aside, I spent my free time shooting surf photos at Peahi (aka JAWS) and earned myself a few nominations at the XXL Big Wave Awards for my photos!

When I moved home to Florida, I kickstarted S+S incorporating everything I love into this business that I’ve built from the ground up. For me that looked like tropical settings, vibrant colors, water incorporated photos, drone and lifestyle photography!

We do a lot of weddings but we also love family sessions, newborn, lifestyle, and water sessions! Really anything at all - we have done it and will do it.

Since opening S+S, the business has grown and we now have executive photographers who shoot for the company in addition to myself in order to take on more weddings and allow me the time to focus on editing and communications with all of you!!

It’s the biggest blessing being able to do what I love + nurture this business while also living a fulfilling life I love and growing my family as I love watching all of you do!

Those pre-ceremony laughs + tears are undeniably some of my favorite moments to capture. I remember the feeling before I saw my husband on my wedding day. So many nerves and so many feelings of excitement and eagerness to just GET MARRIED!

So let’s talk about a couple things to keep in mind when choosing a venue/getting ready location to make these photos everything they deserve to be.

1. Light, light, light! Making sure there’s plenty of natural light is going to make or break your photos! I would prefer a 10x10 room of mostly windows over a pent house with little to none!

2. Consider a place where you can pop outside for some photos, though this isn’t a must. It’s nice to take a few bridal portraits before leaving the room and a private outside space such as a lanai or balcony is the perfect place to do these without risking being seen by guests.

3. Pay attention to the colors of the room where you’ll be getting ready. Are the walls a neutral color? What kind of art is on the walls? Are there furniture colors that will clash with your vibe, or will they add a fun pop like this yellow couch pictured? Be mindful of the colors of your room because while it’s not everything, it will be a big part of your getting ready photos.

Most importantly, pick a getting ready location that is best suited to you. Don’t get too hung up on having a huge space for your girls or guys to get ready. You can make do with smaller spaces if needed that fit your style and budget.
As long as you have your best crew of girls or guys with you, everything will photograph just as it should!
