2025 Bruneau Field Office Competitive Geothermal Lease Sale

This is at the intersection of Mud Flat Road and Oreana Cutoff Road.

We do not support this for numerous reasons!

This would allow for the possibility of geothermal drilling to be on the Owyhee Backcountry Byway.

The acreage is adjacent to Shoofly Oolite!

Recreation was not considered in the first Background paragraph!

If the lease is sold, it could allow for 90 years of geothermal drilling.

We would like to see another area considered.
