Finally getting to the wrap up of this amazing weekend. This was my first big Nitro Race and where do I beging???
So I had no idea what to expect showing up to a Nitro National race. How the track would be, who would I be driving against and what to expect from the way it is run. I was blown away with how awesome tge layout was. It had a little bit of everything. Soaring jumps, fast straight aways, moguls and technical turns and jumps. It was the forst tome I had been to this track and it was awesome to be able to drive on it.
I learned soooooo much in such a short period of time. How to tune my motors, what compound tires to run, how to whip the car to make it end up the direction you want it to be in, how to set my suspension, what a worn out motor feels like 🤣. That one was the worst to learn on short notice.
The pros and teams were soooo helpful and give thanks to Sean and Seth VanDalen for helping me by repinching my worn out motors, Jared Wiggins for helping tune my buggy before a race as well as giving me a shock screw to try and finish the truggy race, Shayne Stone , Glen Durrant, his nephew and Paul Gysler for being my pit guys, Tekno RC team for all the help they gave me and Danny and Matt for sitting down with me for an amazing conversation. Also Tayler Wonders for taking the time to talk with me. It was awesome watching him drive.
I gained sooooo much knowledge this weekend and cant wait for all the races coming up to use what I have learned. Thank you HRCR and Brian Eiter for hosting this. You really are an awesome driver. I was awesome to see the skill, technique and amazing focus of all the top drivers. Congratulations to Ryan Mayfield for taking the win in both Buggy and Truggy!!!
I gotta give a shoutout to DIALED-RC World for the V2’s and V4’s. They really worked well on this track. Also a shout out to R1 Wurks for there titanium parts, and Sticker Status for sponsoring me to race.
I cant wait for the next race coming up at Eagle Hills RC Raceway for the Firecracker Fury 2024. Then its off to DHRC at the end of July and August.
See ya’ll soon!
