As of March 10 2024, Little Donkey has dropped foie gras from its menu. The decision to no longer sell the swollen liver's of ducks and geese serves as the common decency that these gentle animals deserve.

On March 2, animal rights activists launched a new campaign against Little Donkey, a Cambridge MA restaurant, with the demand that cruel foie gras is dropped from the menu.

Despite foie gras being widely considered cruel and unnecessary, and being banned in entire regions such as the state of California and New York City, Little Donkey has continued the horrendous tradition of force-feeding ducks and geese to sell their inflamed livers as a menu item.

Owner Ken Oringer is no stranger to controversial foie gras. In 2019, while chef at Manhattan's Toro restaurant, Oringer publicly made negative comments against NYC's foie gras ban. Unfortunately, Oringer would rather widen his source of revenue than see ducks and geese be treated with decency.

We urge everyone to use their voices to stand up for the ducks and geese being exploited by Little Donkey by calling the restaurant, commenting on social media, and participating in protests as we demand foie gras is dropped from Little Donkey's menu.

It has recently been brought to the attention of activists around the world that Neiman Marcus has made the ill-advised decision to NOT stick to their fur-free policy, and has continued selling fur into 2024.
