Blue Velvet Groove is excited to announce the newest member of our band family!

Neil Stafford is joining us on Tenor and Alto sax! Two of our members have worked with him before, and he is an amazing sax player and soloist! His onstage debut will be at Aurora Borealis on December 10!

Neil was born and raised in England and started studying music at the age of seven! He started on clarinet and piano, adding saxophone at the age of 16. He graduated from the City of Leeds College of Music with a Performance Degree in Jazz and Light Music in sax, flute, and clarinet. After touring Europe, Neil came to the United States to have a successful career performing, music instrument retail, and teaching private lessons.

Neil has performed in The Fleetwoods, The Diamonds, GrooveMob, Notabene, and many other groups, including jazz and big bands.

So thankful to be back to the 80s! I can't go for that hot weather. This seems like a Holiday. Like a Cure. Hope it's not just a Cameo!
