Chief Plentywolf is an influential leader of the movement to protect the water at Standing Rock. He is a direct descendant of those medicine men and women that paved the way before him. Along with the Plentywolf singers, Chief Plentywolf brings his wisdom, chants, prayers, and experiences living as a medicine man to this year’s People’s Market.

Happy 🌈 Let's learn the history of an LGBT+ staple here in Denver, Tracks Denver, one of the most iconic gay bars in town⚡

In 1977, Marty Chernoff—a straight, Jewish real estate entrepreneur from Brooklyn—assumed ownership of a gay leather bar called The Fox Hole. Business was so good that in 1980 he bought an old taxi warehouse across the street and opened Tracks.

Soon, the nightclub was the epicenter of Denver’s gay dance scene, with DJs often playing new music before it hit the radio. Tracks was so popular that Chernoff opened a second location in Washington, DC, in 1984. Though he died in 2019, Chernoff’s legacy lives on: Tracks moved to a new location on Walnut Street in 2003, and it’s still one of the most popular dance clubs in Colorado.
