During an initial phone call I ask every bride and groom if there is any food item that is meaningful to them, or that they love love love. In June, today’s bride told me that she and her husband-to-be love chocolate croissants. I hadn’t made croissants except one time in culinary school. But, why not? I had a few months to figure it out. Fast forward to today and they came out pretty good 😊

Since we don’t have any kids, my brother sent me this one to borrow for a while. She is gorgeous and amazing and she let me dress her up as an ear of corn for Halloween. I knew my papier-mâché skills would come in handy one day ❤️

Fun birthday dinner last night with All vegetarian, all gluten-free. I’d never made GF gnocchi before and I used my go-to gnocchi recipe swapping out the regular flour for a 50/50 blend of one-to-one and Ottos Cassava flour. GF gnocchi was a nice challenge and everyone enjoyed the results.

I’m buried in office work today. All the un-fun stuff that makes doing what we love possible. Michael has lunch prepped and ready to go in the oven when I am ready for a break. Articles about the keys to a happy marriage ever includes cheesesteaks and that’s a real shame 😂

Our client wanted a retro menu for her father’s 60th Birthday. Relived our childhoods with amped up deviled eggs, hot crab dip, French onion dip, and stuffed jalapeños. Definitely had to channel my Mom for a bit 😀So much fun!

I get bored easily and am always coming up with new and different menu items. We like to create completely unique menus for each client. BUT, in July & August I will suggest this charred corn bisque and grilled Palisade peach salad to every single client because I can’t get enough! 🍑

We often do flowers for dining tables but our bride this weekend was unable to book a florist for everything else. Salmon Pie - it’s the epitome of comfort for my family. People that don’t know usually grimace at the name alone. But, salmon is so good for you and when you wrap it up in dairy-heavy mashed potatoes, cheese, caramelized onions and pie dough, it’s almost like you aren’t eating healthy at all 😜
