To say this wedding season has been busy is an understatement! And because of that, social media has taken a back seat. As I continue plugging away with my head in timelines and hands in flowers, I am just going to leave this here. Diane and Erik’s wedding was a dream and no less than 3 years in the making! 4 date changes, countless replanning meetings, and a stellar vendor team are a part of their fairytale ending!

We did it! Vows & Veils was named The Knot’s Best of Weddings 2022! And because we have received the award for 4 years in a row, we also get to claim the honor of being inducted into the Hall of Fame! Here’s a break in our normal wedding content to share what I have been up to for the past month or so. Meet the newest Vows & Veils intern, Addelyn! She is the sweetest baby and keeps us on our toes. I am truly in love with how captured our family and will treasure these photos forever!
We will be getting back to weddings later this year but for now you can find me snuggling this little pumpkin! 🥰

When you are 39 weeks pregnant and have a wedding scheduled, you are thankful for industry friends like for stepping in and making your clients dreams come true. I started working with Izzy and Jeff 27 months ago. Unfortunately, this is not an uncommon story these days, but 3 date changes later here we are. So much has changed in their lives in the past 2 years but one thing has never changed. They are one of the sweetest couples with an incredible amount of patience and a tremendous amount of love for each other. To say I have FOMO from missing this wedding in person is an understatement but I am so glad they finally got to have their special day surrounded by loved ones!

I have decorated this gazebo so many times this year and somehow have only posted it once! There are so many options: full draping, full header flowers, small header spray, greenery tie backs, flower tie backs, flower petal accents, and every variation in between! Regardless, what a beautiful setting for a ceremony, am I right?

What a weekend! Flowers for a birthday party AND a wedding, a roof leak, tornado warnings, and wedding tear down in the rain. Phew! It was one to remember for sure! This week I have lots of emails to catch up on and a few client meetings leading right into the holiday weekend! Busy busy, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything!

Does your cake have a place of honor at your wedding? Or do you prefer it is off to the side? We typically recommend having it on your dance floor but in this venue that would mean putting it in a whole different room. I love that this couple decided to highlight it in the middle of these beautiful windows!

I can count on one hand the number of times I have shown up in professional wedding galleries over the years. Being behind the scenes often means stealth and a cloak of invisibility which I am ok with. However, I love my couples like family so it is nice to have the rare photos of myself with them like this one from last fall.
