Grumpy Entertainment works with clients to develop ideas from idea to stage and sometimes screen. Operating out of modest accommodations in Brooklyn, GrumpyFILMS is a production and development company dedicated to creating tailor-made content for our digital age. Their first major project, "Short Shorts", saw the release of 100+ comedy videos over a five year period starting in 2009, gaining them
a die-hard fan base and a network of conspirators that stretches across the entire lower 48. Subsequent productions have run the gamut from pilots for longform entertainment to high-quality, bite-sized podcasts, and they continue to integrate a strong influence from the proven styles of entertainment that have come before with a contemporary ethos. In 2016, as part of their 10th Anniversary, they formed GrumpyPRODUCTIONS, which focuses on experiential live events and performances, with them often developing productions for the specific characteristics of a space, rather than the other way around. At the forefront of this live work is their critically-acclaimed, modern variety experience, "Brooklyn Loft Party". Regardless of the medium, they continue to combine a Yankee sensibility with a Midwestern “can-do” ethos when tackling any endeavor. Plus, they look good in tuxes and can be rented out for a nominal fee.
