I've known these two for quite some time. Being high school sweethearts naturally brought some incredible energy into their session. They are super confident in who they are as individuals and as a couple so we got not only some sweet shots but some killer dramatic/editorial style shots - as you can see!

Thankful for this season that is full of love, engagements, and growth in the lives of the people around us, all while getting to photograph it. Cannot wait for their wedding in February! ❤️

👰🏻‍♀️ What makes a bride elegant on her wedding day:

A well-fitting dress, tasteful makeup, and a confident attitude can all contribute to the bride's elegance.

Accessories such as jewelry and a veil can also help to complete the look. This bride chose the most adorable pearl studded headband to compliment her ivory lace wedding dress.

The bride's personality and personal style are also a vital factor in achieving a timeless look. Straight or wavy hair, a slicked-back bun, or something in between so you can switch looks between the ceremony and the reception are all great options!

Whatever you choose, make sure to pick:
1. Something you are going to love for the years to come.
2. Something that will make you feel like a million bucks!
3. Something that you can show proudly to your kids and grandkids.
4. Something that makes you feel like the most beautiful woman in the world!

How to make your wedding different than the rest 🤔

➡️ Consider a unique location, such as a private beach or a mountain top.

➡️ Choose an unexpected color palette that blends in with the scenery.

➡️ Add special touches, such as a signature cocktail or a personalized welcome sign.

➡️ Consider unique decor such as these vintage plates and hankies.

➡️ Incorporate meaningful elements such as music or family heirlooms.

➡️ Incorporate activities that will create lasting memories for all your guests such as board games or yard-sized games.

Why the location of a photoshoot matters 😲

Location is key to creating the desired look and feel for a photoshoot.

Different locations can evoke different moods, and the lighting and backdrop can add to the overall aesthetic.

Choosing the right location is essential for a successful photoshoot. It is important to consider the type of shoot when selecting a location. Which is why I am here to help!

For example, a portrait shoot may require a natural setting with good lighting, while a product shoot may require a controlled environment.

I always consider the accessibility of the location and how easy it is to get to. I also check to see if a permit is needed if you plan to shoot in that particular place!

This is one of my favorite shots done at Legacy Lane Weddings So much fun getting this post wedding shot with just the bride and groom!

Shots to make your day extra special:
- Set a spot where you can eat some food, drink some drinks, and soak in the fact that you’re married, and you can have us there of course for those 100% genuine reactions as you get to chill for 5 seconds on your big day!

- Post ceremony pick something that stands out, like a getaway car, an after party location, go to McDonalds! These make for the most fun shots in your wedding wear that you couldn’t get the real feel of otherwise!

🚵‍♂️ Couples can add excitement to their outdoor photoshoot by exploring different locations, engaging in activities such as biking, hiking, or kayaking, and trying out different poses.

It’s that time of year, what can I say? Things I do to actually keep me focused while editing: * listen to a podcast. * listen to a podcast to learn something while working * listen to a full musical album * listen to a full album I’ve never heard before * have a warm cup of chai tea or an iced matcha latte * put on a diffuser with oils for focus* chew peppermint gum to wake up * take a quick break for a snack * allot 10 minutes to be mindless and dance or scroll * stretch or look out the window. All these help SO much to keep me on task and running!!! It’s the best kind of work! 🤗🥹

As a photographer I have a million jobs besides “just taking photos.” I’m sure every photographer feels me here! Here’s just a glimpse:* editing* social media* marketing* emailing* communication* scheduling* web design* preset creation* book keeping* outfit styling* coordinating* timeline creationAnd that’s just a few to name right off the bat! To run a business and lifestyle as a photographer it is sooooo much more than just clicking a button! What things do you do in your business that people may not realize right away!?

Fun Fact: I am a music industry kid. 🎶 What does that mean? Well both of my parents have been in the music industry for what feels like my whole life! Which means that I have listened to all types of music and can tell pretty quickly if something is going to be a hit.
